Emily the Strange was created in 1991 by Rob Reger. She was initially designed by Nathan Carrico for skateboard graphics, but went on to be the face for lots of other things. She was most notably the star of her own comic series with a multitude of spinnoffs spanning roughly 20+ issues total.
Along with this, she also has an expansive merchandise catalog and even a few music collaborations! Soo that's all fine & dandy, but who is Emily exactly?
Emily is a 13 year old girl who (as the name would suggest) is quite strange. She wakes up in the afternoon to have dinner with her mother. Then she spends the night inventing gadgets to support the household & finally goes to bed at sunrise.
She's quite the prodigy, & she has a inventory of 77 patented inventions to prove it. The most notable of them being a cybernetic golem named Raven, a cat translator & a cloning machine.
Along with inventing, she has an extensive list of hobbies including playing guitar, sewing, coding, drawing, lock-picking & skateboarding.
She is highly introverted & hates being labeled or put into any cliques. She heavily prefers her 4 pet cats over any human companionship, their names are Mystery, Neechee, Miles & Sabbath.
